You can compare you own processes with the best-practice processes of SAP Business ByDesign, and see if they fit or what the gaps are. Then you can decide how to solve the gaps. 

Also you can compare processes of SAP Business ByDesign with those of SAP S/4 HANA Cloud. S/4 processes are not part of the AdaPro process Library, but can be used from the SAP OPAL content.

It is even possible to export Role-WorkCenter assignment lists from the process library. 

In practice we found this information very helpful to determine why a certain test case was stuck. Sometimes it is only possible to perform the next test activity, if the document in the systen (business object) has reached a certain status. Which makes a lot of sense, but bothers you, if you to not know it. 

With the process library, it is quick and easy to find the needed document status and thus speed up the execution of the process.

Because in every process building block the needed business object documents are also included, it is possible to derive the business object documents for all processes in the solution scope. Thus a list of migration objects can be created. The sequence can be determined by the sequence in the process steps and process building blocks within the end-to-end processes.

It is possible to use the integrated risk management system for processes when going live. By this it is possible to assess, if a certain error will influence the go-live decision or not. 

This has helped a lot in many steering meetings already.
